Composing is at once research, storytelling, and creation. Drawing on classical roots, the musical palette—which always builds on the mood and dramaturgy of the given project—is characterized by symphonic film scores, theatrical accompaniments, advertising music, and modern hybrid sounds.
The music is often created using unique instruments: one-of-a-kind physical and electronic instrument prototypes are utilized, either live or in digital form. These custom-built instruments lend a unique tone and character to the musical world.
Among the compositions are a symphonic arrangement of the Székely Anthem to mark its 100th anniversary, *Familiar Faces* – Nélküled, which received a national premiere, as well as ceremonial and performance music for several major international sporting events—including FINA 2022 and the 2023 World Athletics Championships.
The music is characterized by unique textures and custom-built acoustic and electronic instruments, giving it a truly one-of-a-kind atmosphere.

Studio work is the art of detail: finding the right tone, space, dynamics, and balance is what truly brings a production’s sound to life. The fusion of modern technology and musical sensitivity gives rise to mixing, mastering, studio and on-location recordings, as well as professional narration, dubbing, and film sound post-production—always tailored to the project’s genre and purpose.
During mixing, the overall balance of the sound is established: every instrument, vocal, sound effect, and atmospheric element is placed in its proper position, creating a cohesive and transparent soundscape. Mastering is the final refinement of quality, ensuring a powerful and consistent sound optimized for various platforms. In addition to studio recordings, we regularly perform on-site sound recording, authentically documenting churches, concert halls, theaters, and spaces with unique acoustics.
Film sound post-production is a key area of focus: the complete soundscape for films, documentaries, and series is created—from dialogue to ambient sounds and atmosphere, through to complex musical integration. To create a richly detailed soundscape, Foley recordings are also made as needed, using various objects, movements, and specialized sound-generating devices.
The studio is equipped for both 5.1 and Dolby Atmos mixing, ensuring that the sound for films, trailers, commercials, and concert films meets international industry standards.
The goal in every case is to produce recordings and mixes of such high quality that they stand up to scrutiny both musically and technically.

Symphonic Orchestra Recordings
Drawing on the rich heritage of Hungarian culture and music, Azara Scoring—led by Príma Award-winning composer and guitarist István Cseh—makes its debut. István is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Berklee College of Music, whose body of work includes the scores for more than twenty films and high-profile productions such as the musical identity for the 2023 World Athletics Championships.
Building on the country’s world-class musical heritage and institutions—including the Franz Liszt Academy of Music—our goal is to connect international composers with exceptional Hungarian orchestras and instrumentalists.
Azara Scoring’s key partner is the Duna Symphony Orchestra, which has been a defining force in the Hungarian concert scene for decades. Our collaboration is elevated to an even higher level by the legendary Pannónia Studio in Budapest, with its AVID-certified staff and world-class equipment.

Shared orchestra sessions, featuring outstanding quality and flexible scheduling. Recording sessions can be booked in blocks of up to 30 minutes—ideal for shorter scenes, themes, or smaller projects.

For those seeking the highest possible production quality. Exclusive access to the most prestigious recording venues—concert halls and iconic studios—where the clarity and spaciousness of the sound ensure unparalleled results.
Custom Orchestra Configurations
In addition to the Danubia Orchestra, we also assemble custom ensembles:
we create productions featuring big bands, jazz ensembles, and performances incorporating percussion and folk instruments (e.g., cimbalom, koboz, bagpipes, duduk, harp). Tell us your musical vision, and we’ll put together the perfect ensemble for you.

We use a professional multi-camera system to record the band and the recording process—for promotional purposes, portfolios, and documentation.
- Interactive, Remote Direction
Through online, real-time streaming, we ensure that the composer can direct the session from anywhere in the world, provide feedback, and shape the course of the recording.
- Complete Post-Production
Cutting, editing, mixing, and mastering—including in Dolby Atmos and 5.1 formats. We handle everything from the recording to the final, broadcast-ready product.
- Sustainable operations
We use digital sheet music management, environmentally conscious workflows, and easily accessible studio locations—reducing logistical burdens and our ecological footprint.
Travel, Comfort, and Cultural Experiences
Upon request, we provide comprehensive travel and accommodation coordination for composers and instrumentalists visiting Hungary. Airport transfers, comfortable accommodations, and unique cultural programs—including introductions to Hungarian musical traditions, gastronomy, and Budapest’s world-famous baths.
